An image near and dear to my heart! <3 This is my drawing of an Inuk mother and baby in amauti, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of designs inspired by traditional Inuit tattoos.
Inuit all across the circumpolar arctic have such a wide range of unique clothing, and this particular style comes from my home community, Panniqtuuq (Pangnirtung, Nunavut) on Baffin Island in Canada.
